 UTL Technologies is focused on niche technology areas in Semiconductor technology and Mobile Communication. Training is offered in the areas of Embedded Systems Design, VLSI design, Mobile Communication and Networking. The course content is designed keeping in mind the current and future requirements of the industry. UTL has launched an Advanced Learning Centre at Karpagam College of Engineering, Coimbatore in Octo 2007. This centre was launched to impart training on VLSI design to the final year and pre-final year students o the college to equip them with the required skills for better employability.

IBM
 IBM Academic Initiative provides opportunity to emerge as one of the competent entities in the academic circles in research and development in the area of Information Technology. It provides opportunity to be recognized by the industry and academic circles as one of the preferred locations for acquiring training and skills development in the latest technology and software. The MoU gives an opportunity to utilize the programme to train students on IBM Software products and technologies and also provides the opportunity for the faculty and students of KCE to design world class curriculum capable of delivering the calibre of IT skills required at present and also for the future.

Oracle Workforce Development
 The agreement covers training of faculty members of the college in turn train students on the Oracle software using the curriculum developed by Oracle University that leadsto International Certification by Oracle. The technology and the technical support is provided by Oracle Corporation to the Institution.
