Library is the treasure house open for academicians and students. The Central library was started with an initial stock of 4500 books in the year 2000 and now has more than 38,476 volumes of books on a variety of subjects. Utmost care is taken in developing resources for each department. Our Library Subscribes more than 328 International and National Journals and 219 International and National Magazines and has a good collection of latest CDs & Floppies in various fields. Most of the library functions such as issue, return, reservation and searching books have been automated. The Central library has 10,000 sq.m space with all the modern facilities.

In addition to the well stocked and fully automated central library, each department of KCE has their own department library to facilitate easy access to the faculty. A total of 10,878
volumes are available in the department libraries.
Facilities
Separate sections for Reference Material, Periodicals and Project Reports are provided for easy access.
DDC coding, Bar coding, and an integrated library management software facilitates faster processing.
Inter Library Loan facility is arranged through DELNET.
OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) facility is available at the library entrance as well as from departmental libraries to facilitate online searching of books available in the library with Title, Author, Keyword and Subject search options.

library network with high speed internet access is also housed in the premises.

MATERIAL RESOURCES
The collection comprises more than 2,500 CD-ROMs
and 200 VCD/DVDs, as well as audiotapes and floppy discs.Subjects range from Mechanical, Electrical
Science, Computer Science and Science and Humanities. The quickest way to
locate videos or CDs in the Library is to search the library catalog (OPAC).
Our team of library assistants provides assistance to students, faculty and
staff by attending to their needs.
INTERNET
ACCESS
2 Mbps Broad Band Internet connections are
provided for enhancing for access to the electronic resources. There are more
than 15 computer systems available in the digital section to access internet.
