The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit was inaugurated in the campus on 16th January 2004. Dr.R.K.Manoharan, Former NSS Coordinator, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore inaugurated the unit. Mr. P. Lakshmana Kumar, Senior Lecturer, Department of Mechanical Engineering is the Programme Officer. Since the inception of the unit, many activities were organized. Myleripalayam, a nearby village was adopted by the unit for serving the society. So far, 4 Special camps have been organized in the village.

5. Free Eye Camp conducted by Dr. Vijayaraghavan, Professor (Eye Division), Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, Coimbatore.
6. Free Blood Group Identification Camp in association with Department of Bio-Chemistry, Karpagam University, Coimbatore.
7. Awareness Rally on "Road Safety" by volunteers.
8. Road repair works.
9. Guest Lecture on "Women and Child Welfare" was delivered by Dr. Uma Sarojini, Medical Officer, Primary Health Centre, Myleripalayam.
